The Gospel of Jesus Christ
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” — Psalm 119:105
He was placed in the tomb. The stone was put in place.
Matthew 27:57-61 — The Burial of Jesus
The stage is set…
He is Risen!
AMEN!
It is such a fantastic feeling to read verses that I have heard before. As I happen upon them through the reading they come as a surprise. I get all excited and giddy knowing that the “Living Word” is in me. It is inside of all of us…
Matthew 25:21 — The Parable of the Talents
Of course there is more to this parable. For those that did not invest, the outcome was not so good. Begin now. Begin to invest in your eternal future with our God. It’s not easy, but anything of value is always difficult. God will answer your prayers. He always fulfills His promises.
It is Saturday now. At this point Jesus lays in the tomb, held closed by a massive stone. It had been foretold by the sign of the prophet Jonah. Jesus would live in the ground for three days, as Jonah lived in the whale for three days. (Matthew 12:38-42) No worries. Jesus is Risen!
God Bless You!
Amen.

In the last few weeks I have been hearing a lot about the Blood Moons. Last night was the first of many to come that are to signal the coming of Jesus. Happiness overcomes me when I think of Him coming for those who believe in Him. Sadness for those that do not.
REMINDER: Tickets are still free. If you have not accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and Redeemer there is still time. They won’t be free for much longer. Punch your ticket today and call out, “Jesus!”
God created the Universe. God created man. Man turned from God through sin. Jesus hung on a cross and died for our sins. Jesus rose into Heaven and will return the way He left. God is alive!
Matthew 24:1-8 — Jesus Foretells the Future
These pains will be transformed into joy at the return of Jesus. The trumpets will sound and there will be no doubt He is here. Keep watch and spread His message.
I pray for you all. Prayers spoken and unspoken. Pray for me. Prayer is our way of crying out to Him. He hears us. Use the ACTS model. The ACTS model will be helpful to you as you learn how to pray. ACTS stands for Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication.
Amen.

Jesus speaks and criticizes the Pharisees. This is amazing…
Matthew 23:13-36
Any of these apply to you? I know that I see many of these indicators in today’s world. We need to heed the words of our savior and change our ways.
Jesus is on His way to us and will come soon. Let us not waste any more time. Spread His word. Read His word.
Thank you Jesus!
Amen.
Shalom.

Jesus is speaking to the Pharisees again. He makes it a point in the previous verse to tell us that they are the keepers of the law of Moses, but there is more. Jesus tells us that they are not to be our examples for they are proud and do not live a righteous life. He tells them and us this…
Matthew 23:8-12
Verse 12 says it best in my opinion. Our world has been perverted by the devil in such a way that even our so-called good deeds can be used by the evil one to distract us. God wants us to rest on His agenda for our lives, not our own.
If we follow our own plan, we will FAIL! We must follow God’s plan for our lives. What is that plan? Do not worry, do not be anxious, do not be afraid, but instead lean on God’s understanding.
Thank you Jesus. I love you.
Amen.

Jesus was asked so many complicated questions by the Pharisees, at least from my perspective. All it took was one simple question asked by Jesus to the Pharisees, and they were done…
Matthew 22:41-46 — Whose Son Is the Messiah?
What do you think of the Messiah?
He is Risen! Christ died for us because He loves us…Sin and all. Give your life to Him today. His hands are reaching for you. He wants to help, but you must ask.
Amen.
Shalom.

At every turn, Jesus was being hunted. Hunted by those that did not understand Him. They could not see that He was only trying to clarify the law. In every instance Jesus Christ taught through parables. This time the hunters went for the jugular…
Matthew 22:34-40 — The Most Important Commandment
Jesus shows us that not only must we possess purity in heart, patience, humility, and a servant’s soul, but we must also know the word of God. We must be prepared to answer questions that are posed to us from believers and non-believers.
We are to love God with all of our hearts, souls, and minds. And then love our neighbors. This, Jesus says, is the greatest commandment.
I’m in awe of Jesus. I look forward to the day that I cast my crown at His feet and worship Him forever.
Amen.

This morning the Emergency Broadcast System was heard on my dad’s TV. My kids asked what it was. I told them that maybe it was the trumpet sound that will tell us when Jesus has come to take us home. They looked at me with wide eyes. Callie looked shocked and scared. I asked her if she was scared to see Jesus return. She said a little bit. Liv then told her that this is not our real home, and that she is not scared. Gavin asked if it was time.
I said not yet, but soon. They are getting to know Jesus.
In this parable, Jesus shows us another glimpse into what it will be like on the day we return home…
Matthew 22:29-33
29 Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. 30 At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. 31 But about the resurrection of the dead—have you not read what God said to you, 32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.”
33 When the crowds heard this, they were astonished at his teaching.
I look forward to going home, until then I will do His work and witness, minister, and disciple all in the name of the Lord.
Be blessed today and share the Gospel with someone.
Amen.
Shalom.

In this verse Jesus teaches and it is driven home. I love the response from the Pharisees. They must know now…
Matthew 22:15-22 — Paying the Imperial Tax to Caesar
Lesson learned. We are not from here. We are only here for a short while. While we are here, give the world what belongs to the world. Give God what belongs to Him…your heart and soul.
Faith without works is dead.
Amen.
Shalom.

Whether good or bad, we are invited. However, change is required. We must be transformed…
Matthew 22:8-14
8 “Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. 9 So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’ 10 So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.
11 “But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. 12 He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless.
13 “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
14 “For many are invited, but few are chosen.”
We must change and be dead to this world. Let the concerns of this world dissolve and begin to allow victory to chase you. Transform and honor the king.
Lord thank you for the invitation. Help us to see that transformation must occur through pressing into you and closer to you. We love and praise you. Amen.
Shalom.
