About Faith vs. Sight
This started with a Bible.
And questions. Lots of questions.
I wanted to know Jesus. Not just know about Him. I wanted to know HIM.
So I started reading. And praying. And writing down what I felt God was showing me.
I am not a theologian. I am not a pastor. I am a husband. A father. A teacher. A coach. And most importantly, a believer in Jesus Christ.
Most of what you are reading here was written more than a decade ago. One day at a time. One verse at a time. Sometimes I understood what I was reading. Sometimes I didn’t. Sometimes I probably thought I understood more than I actually did.
But I kept reading.
And Jesus kept teaching.
Now, more than ten years later, I have come back to these studies. And I have to tell you…it has been incredible.
I get to read the words of the man I was then. I can see what I was struggling with. What I was learning. Where my faith was growing. And now I can look back and see something I couldn’t always see at the time.
God was there through ALL of it.
That’s Faith vs. Sight.
We want to see the whole road. We want answers. We want proof. We want to know what happens next.
God says trust Me.
Walk.
Have Faith.
I have intentionally kept these studies in my original voice. They’re not supposed to be perfect theological commentaries. They’re my walk through God’s Word. My questions. My thoughts. My mistakes. My growth. My relationship with Jesus.
And maybe that’s why you’re here.
Maybe something written more than ten years ago is exactly what somebody needs to read today.
Maybe that somebody is you.
So open your Bible. Ask questions. Pray. Read His Word. Don’t worry about knowing everything before you begin.
Just begin.
He’ll meet you there.
#JesusSaves
Amen.
