Faith as Small as a Mustard Seed

A man approaches Jesus, asking him to heal his son who is demon possessed. The man explains that the disciples are unable to heal the boy. Jesus then tells the disciples this:

Matthew 17:17-20

17 “You unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.” 18 Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed at that moment.

19 Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”

20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

The bottom line…FAITH. We have to have faith in Jesus in order to be able to do what He has allowed us to be able to do. What causes issues in our lives are the distractions of this world. Jesus is so right on when He says we are unbelieving and perverse. We are.

But here is the kicker. He builds us right back up. He reminds us of the gifts that He has given us. The ability to move a mountain if we have the faith to. No, this is not a figure of speech. Jesus means exactly what He says. You can move mountains with your faith.

No more victim words people. We are victors. We are winners. We are saved. Let the world have what it wants. Give it away and watch what comes flooding right back to you. Try it. Have FAITH! Jesus WILL provide.
